Day 4. Overview.

August the fifth. Fourth day of the event. Second day of competition. In the morning the “team design” part of our beloved finalists had a chance to present their outcomes of yesterdays work. They did a good job inventing new ways of transmitting information from one side of a “wall” to another using LED, wires, cables, batteries and alike artifacts.

At the same time the “case study” participants were struggling to save their country after the earthquake and tsunami catastrophe. Facing the crisis, planning, scheming about the instant means of solving the problem, as well as predicting far-reaching consequences and trying to prevent them from taking place, they were busy the whole afternoon.

The afternoon was devoted to an introduction to UNEP Team Design. It was delivered by Fabienne Pierre, representative of UNEP from Paris, during an on-line conference.
